Change Your Thoughts
I used to have this wall art in my childhood bedroom that said “change your thoughts and you change your world.” Seeing this every morning when I wake up and every night before I go to bed, combined with my family’s “MAKE it a great day” (emphasis on “make”) saying has truly changed my perception on life and the power of speaking life into the days ahead.
I’m currently walking through a season of uncertainty, which makes my days spiral out of control due to my lack of acceptance with change. I have fallen completely out of routine and feel as though everything I do in my day-to-day is being negatively impacted by this uncertainty. I have realized that the one aspect I have been focusing on lately is the one negative piece of my life in which overcomes me with anxiety and fear, affecting all other areas of my day.
My epiphany: "How could I let something control me so much as to ruin everything for me?” I have been blaming my lack in life on a situation I cannot change, on a season of uncertainty and stress, when I could be changing my mental process of it all. I’ve been hit with the realization that I could have been claiming victory, financial blessing, peace, and positive outcomes over my life through this entire season, but instead I have been paralyzed by worry and defeat.
You have the power to change your life by simply changing the words you speak into it. Words create worlds, they are powerful. Take advantage of the opportunity to live your life victoriously and don’t let your circumstances defeat you. MAKE today, tomorrow, this week, this month, this year great by changing your perspective and shifting your mindset. You can DO THIS. I can DO THIS. We can DO THIS! ✨
